Please, I beg of you…do not skip this step!
I know it is tempting to save some dough and edit your book yourself or have a friend do it for you.
My question to you is: How do you want your potential clients to view you?
As a professional or as someone who neglects the small details?
If you have read my report, 5 Tell Tail Signs Your Book Was Self-Published, you know the main reason not to edit your own work (if it is longer than a short report or blog post) is because you are too close to the material.
When I edit, I connect in to my Inner Muse for the highest guidance possible, then I edit for content first…is there anything missing…does it make sense?
Then I line-edit/proofread for grammer, punctuation, spelling and those pesky "was-was" (the same word twice, that usually occure as you make initial changes while writing. Easy to do and so easy to overlook ~ hey, you know what it is supposed to say!!)
After each edit I return the manuscript to you for review and comments. Once we are complete I send the manuscript for a final quick edit with someone who is magnificent (she edits my stuff). Why do I do this? By this time I even know what it is supposed to say! So this is our final set of eyes.
Let's discuss your editing and proofing needs. I will sample your first chapter and your final chapter to determine the amount of editing you require. I will then be able to give an honest quote for your project.
Simply complete this form and I will contact you to set up a time for a conversation.
